Who needs Occupational Accident Insurance?
A: Independent Contractors that are paid by 1099 may carry Occupational Accident Insurance.
To qualify as a 1099 Independent Contractor the following must apply:
A lease must be in place with a signed contract between the Owner Operator and the motor carrier. The Owner Operator must be responsible for the power unit maintenance and pick up operating costs.
